  3. Why can't I hear anything? Why doesn't the frequency spectrum appear and the sound change?

SX Fidelity Amplifier requires the Audio Bridge driver to be the default audio driver. This automatically enabled when you start Fidelity Amplifier. To see whether the Audio Bridge is the default audio driver, select Sound and Audio Devices from your Control Panel. Under the Audio tab, you can see which audio driver is active under the playback. For improvement to occur, the Audio Bridge sound driver must be the default audio device.

If you have SX Fidelity Amplifier started and it is not the default audio driver, exit all media players, and select Unplug Audio Bridge from the Tools sub-menu from SX Fidelity Amplifier item in the All Programs menu. Then start Fidelity Amplifier again. This should switch audio drivers. Start you favourite media player and you should be ready to go.

  4. I notice that when I start my media player first and then Fidelity Amplifier it doesn't work. But I start the Fidelity Amplifier first, it does. Why?

Most media players use the default playback audio driver that was initially set. Since Fidelity Amplifier uses its own driver, media player will not know that is is there. By switching the order, your favourite media player will use SF Fidelity Amplifier as its audio driver.

  5. What is the minimum hardware requirement that I can run SX Fidelity Amplifier on?

SX Fidelity Amplifier requires at least an Intel Pentium III 800 MHz processor or compatible. Anything less may overwhelm the hardware and make it unstable.

  6. Why am I having problems uninstalling SX Fidelity Amplifier?

Re-installing or uninstalling SX Fidelity Amplifier may have problems if any media player is still running using the Fidelity Amplifier engine. Make sure that you close all of your media applications prior to re-installing or uninstalling SX Fidelity Amplifier.

  7. Why am I hearing some artefacts and audio distortion using SX Fidelity Amplifier?

We found that using some sound cards with SX Fidelity Amplifier may cause of additional artefacts and distortion effects in playback sound due to the time. In most all cases those effects disappeared after installing the latest drivers for the sound card. If you have same problems go to the sound card manufacturer web-site, download and install most recent drivers for your sound card.
